One of the most common chiropractic techniques is spinal adjustment whereby our physician will locate and correct the misaligned vertebrae. Putting a bone back into its normal position will release pressure from the disc and will allow for the healing process to begin.

For optimal long-term results, Dr. Zak Merchoud always recommends his patients to complement this with taking an active role and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

If your pelvis is out of alignment, it will cause an unstable balance in the spine, causing discs to shift and compress usually causing back pain.

Our chiropractor is specialized in helping to balance the pelvis, while also working on strengthening muscle groups like the core, hamstrings and glutes to help keep the pelvis aligned and stable.

If you are suffering from sciatica, herniated discs or pinched nerves, spinal traction will improve your body’s ability to heal itself.

At Acacia Center we offer both manual and mechanical spinal traction – depending on the patient’s condition.

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine and we are proud to be able to offer it to our patients as part of their treatment in Adria Medical Center.

By putting special cups on the skin and creating suction, the chiropractor can successfully treat back pain, inflammation, sciatic nerve pain, ankle sprains and more.

Joint mobilization involves the passive movement of specific joints using the skilled application of force, direction and technique.

Our chiropractor can mobilize the affected joint either with his hands or by using certain tools such as straps. This results in restoring range of motion, relieving pain, reducing muscle tension and improving quality of joint movement itself.
